A Jeep Day

The weather was amazing today so Linda and I got in old Stinky Jeep and drove up over Fernan Saddle down into the Coeur d'Alene River drainage. We hit some snow in several places but mostly there was only mud on the road.

Over the saddle, we drove down the South fork of the Coeur d'Alene and then turned and headed up over the pass and down into Teepee Creek.

Once there, we drove on down to the Coeur d'Alene River and checked out the entire river. While we drove we spotted several deer and a herd of elk. The water was running clear and cold. One of the side trips we took led us up to Fern Falls and Shadow Falls.
